Create content for better SEO results
Today we want to continue on the topic from our previous post on focus on your site’s content. A well designed site isn’t as effective without the information that it’s designed around. That’s why we want to talk about why it’s important to create content for better SEO results.
What is SEO and why it matters
First things first: what is SEO?
SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It refers to the process of increasing quality and quantity traffic to your site.
Or in other words, it’s the way you show up in various search engine results, such as Google and Bing.
As business providers and content creators, we all want to rank higher in these search results. People don’t search for what they want on page 2 of Google, let alone page 10. The higher your ranking, the more visitors to your site, the more customers you get.
Why SEO results matters
There were nearly 2.3 trillion Google searches in 2019. And on any given day, 15% of those searches were new to Google. That’s an incredible amount of searches and your site should be on there.
There’s a large playing field and in the hospitality industry, standing out from the crowd is even more important. In order to stand out, your content needs to be as unique as your business is.
Tailor your content for better results
With the proper SEO strategy in mind, you can tailor your content to maximize your search engine rankings.
This process involves the use of keywords and keyword-phrases to know where your competition is and how to make your presence known in those fields.
For example, if your property is a popular wedding venue, produce content that highlights this facet. This way, when guests search for wedding ideas, your site will rank in those results.
In our previous post, we stated that design is a conversation. The content that you place on your site is part of that conversation. And the majority of that conversation will be through the text that you write.
Having to create content for better SEO results doesn’t have to be a chore. In fact, it can be rather rewarding watching your stats and analytics go up due to using the right tricks.
And remember, this doesn’t only mean having a blog or scheduled postings. You can have marketing campaigns, social media outreaches – that content is there to fuel traffic back to the site. So have fun with it.
